Fortune Brands Home & Security, Inc., an industry-leading home and
security products company, today announced it has partnered with City
Colleges of Chicago to create a new Skilled Trades Scholarship. The
first group of 14 recipients are pursuing degrees or certificates across
Construction Management and Carpentry, Plumbing and HVAC.
The scholarship aims to create a pipeline of skilled tradesmen and women
to help address labor shortages in the housing and construction markets,
which are critical to Fortune Brands’ business. The scholarship provides
full tuition for students pursuing an Associate’s Degree or certificate
in the school’s construction-related programs.

positively impact students in raising awareness about the skilled trades
field and the meaningful work opportunities it can provide people and
